I recently had my door checker replaced because it made a rubbing noise that I was unable to eliminate.
The new checker makes the rubbing noise like the previous one. A few people I have spoke to mentioned that maybe the door is not aligned properly since it had been previously removed a few years ago for repaint and small dent by side skirt.
I have posted a quick video and wanted to know if there is something else that could cause this rubbing besides door alignment? I have tried loosening the bolts and shifting the checker around but still makes some noise and replaced the pin with a new one. I tried wd40, high temp grease and while the rubbing noise is suppressed it will not permanently go away and usually makes the noise again at the two stopping points.
