Does your emergency brake lever have good tension from the start. Mine doesn't after I installed the Brembo parking brake. I have to pull the emergency brake the whole way to get the brake to hold. I was wondering if anyone else's is like this. Also could I make an adjustment to the cables to make the lever engage the brake earlier? Thanks

You can adjust the e-brake by removing the center glove compartment. Tighten to increase pre-tension.

The Brembo e-brake does not grip as firmly as the factory e-brake, so make sure to be aware of this when parking on slopes.

Cheers,

That's exactly the same experience I have with my new installed Brembo e-brake. When I drive on the trailer the brake can barely hold the car. I have to pull real hard - nothing to be solved by adjusting the brake. Is there maybe another solution by using other prake pads?

Thanks Chris and NSX Racer, I am so happy that I spent $1 grand and have to worry about parking my car on a slope :(

NSX Racer- Did you use two washers per bolt when bolting the parking brake to the bracket? They supplied two washers per bolt and I wasn't sure if one washer went on the bolt, then the other one went in-between the caliper and the bracket. Also the other bolt that goes through the caliper and to the bracket is setup to where I believe you don't put a washer on the bolt first as it has to slide in the rubber sleeve. So I just put both washers for the bolt in between the caliper and the bracket. I wasn't sure if you remembered how you set yours up.

I relay the question to science of speed because in my case it's a custom made setup by my mechanic (with Porsche GT 3 main brake at rear wheels) and I'm personaly a two left hander.
