The Theft Deterrent System Test is not accurate because when I had to lock the doors with the keyless remote from the outside, then my room mate (while inside) unlocked the doors with the power lock button and the alarm went off... much to my suprise, the disarm button woudlnt work for some reason and i tried to put the key into the ignition to try and disarm it this way... nothing happened no matter how far i turned it... The car would not even attempt to crank. I continued to push the disarm button on my keyring and it finally worked (after i removed the key from the ignition.

So I think that there is a kill switch on the ignition switch... unlike what it says in the FAQ..... just FYI

I have tried this also. I don't have a remote alarm just the factory alarm. I didn't RTFM so I amused the key in the ignition would stop the honking. Turns out the key must be turned in the doorlock.
I once locked the car then unlocked it and the alarm went off when opening the door. Don't know what happened there.
