So, was over at a fellow Primer's place looking over the car and I have been trying to track down a rattle. We figured out the issue, those aluminum metal guards that sit inside the bumper between the styrofoam and the plastic...are moving around quite a bit on one side. Sort of loose and bouncing. I think the styrofoam is just coming apart and is no longer snug, but I thought I would ask someone here that has run into an issue like that. And, before I hit it with duct tape.

Thanks for any feedback.

No such rattle on my '96. I've owned it 15 years, & knew the original owner, so its the original parts.

Without looking up mounting bolts in the manual as a reference, my first step would be to see if there are any bolts that might have loosened and can be tightened.

I took these for you yesterday so you could see how everything is attached with the bumper removed. I don't think the aluminum re-enforcement pieces would rattle even without the foam piece. The sides pieces have a top portion that is spot welded to the lower portion perhaps that broke?

Damn, I forgot all about those pieces. Sorry I can't help you on that one. Now I wonder where on earth I put those 8 years ago when I did my 02 conversion?
I guess it's time for another trip to the attic...
