Howdy,

Last year I bought a 2001 Honda S2000 and have enjoyed it quite a lot. Last week I decided that it needed a proper stablemate, so I picked up a '92 NSX. It's a clean car, 107K miles or so, and has recently had the transmission redone after suffering the snap-ring failure. And a few other mods, too:

* NSX-R ring and pinion
* Short JDM gears
* Fidanza lightweight wheel
* Stainless brake lines
* DC Sport headers
* TiDave non-compliance front clamps
* Large intake scoop
* NSX-R reinforcement bars
* Taitec GTLW exhaust
* Front NSX-R sway bar
* Rar Zanardi sway bar
* Buddy Club Racing Spec coilovers
* Science of Speed baffled oil pan

Looking forward to getting it on track and learning to drive a new style of car!

Congrats on the purchase! Once you get some track time with it, I'd like to hear your opinions between the two cars. Oh, and +1 on what RJD1022 said regarding the gas cap.

Thanks, guys. Here's a better set of pictures:

Welcome to NSX-Ville and Prime!

Nice Hondas there and I like your TX license plates! :smile:

Likewise, I'd love a G37S to daily. They sound amazing.

Yeah, it does run/sound/look great. Bought it about a year ago. Has the S package, 6 speed manual, suspension, big brakes, etc.
Really looking forward to playing with the NSX. For now it's waiting patiently out of this winter wonderland around here. UGH!

It's too bad the previous owner didn't let you keep "OMGNSX". That was a cool plate. Welcome to the club! Jealous you've got your S2000, I'm a previous owner.

Welcome to the madness. Those techno wheels always looked spectacular on formula red. I always have liked these wheels. Pics never do them justice. You got a clean car with tasteful mods brother, congrats.

nice video. Do you have a supercharger ? what mod causes that high pitched whine noise?

It does not have a supercharger. I was kind of wondering about the whine, too. It sounds cool, though. I had the mic dropped down between the tunnel and passenger seat. I was thinking maybe it was picking up transmission noises, but that's a wild guess.

Mine had the same noise prior to a supercharger. It was the alternator. From the video it is rpm specific not gearing specific so I would most certainly say it's the alternator.

It's possible, but it's also not present when standing around the car or driving the car. I'm not sure what or why the mic is picking the noise up.

That is strange. When I first saw your video I thought for sure you had a boosted motor from CT. It sounds like mine. I thought my old alternator didn't make noise either at idle. But when I first took it to Shad, he immediately picked up on it. Which prompted me to buy a stethoscope from harbour freight for 5 bucks. Could be alternator bearings, that'd be the most likely. Great track video by the way. I enjoyed you chasing down that corvette.
