enkrypt3d,Well by unlugging the battery I would assume it cleared the CEL codes and they are gone but the problem won't be. Now, I'm no expert here but when I ran my CEL codes last night I shorted the "Blue" connector underneath the passenger foot well area just below the glove box. When you do this and turn the ignition to ON, your CEL light should show a sequence of flashes. Mine did 3 slow flashes and 6 fast flashes immediately afterwards indicating trouble code "36".If you don't have a service manual for your car yet get one from the links provided in the WIKI (Chapter 19 pg.102 for codes).I presume that you won't be able to get these codes now until the problem re-surfaces the next time you drive it. Don't disconnect the battery again until you get the codes.
