The trip back was a nightmare! Left south central PA around 3 pm bound for Charlotte (a little over 500 miles). Somewhere in VA around 7 pm got caught in a sudden sleet/freezing rain (maybe even small hail) storm which eventually turned to driving rain. The sleet/hail wasn't big enough to do major damage but it still took me a couple minutes before I could find cover. From then on it was 50 mph in the slow lane getting passed by 18 wheelers and everyone else. A trip that was supposed to take 8 hrs ended up taking 12 hrs.
