properly removing SRS

I will be installing an aftermarket steering wheel. I was considering instead of just defeating the SRS light, etc... I might as well uninstall the control unit as well.

Anyone do this and will there be any electrical issues? I have a feeling that removing the SRS control unit might set of the SRS light anyway...

Thanks in advance.

I put my sparco wheel on with the SOS hub.

I am also putting in a fiberglass sub box, and to make it simpler to do so, i removed the SRS Computer, The Wiring Harnesses, The Two Impact Sensors. I figured is i'm not going to be using them, might as well get them the heck out of there.

I have no SRS light on in the dash.

If someone wants to sell their SRS parts (cheap), esp. if from a '91 pm me. my SRS light is on, I'd really like to swap out parts until I find out which is the bad one. Dealer says it's the wire harness but i can't believe that since it's not damaged in any visible way.
