Which race? He almost has them all covered.
I am sorry. I was working at a Embassy Suites over the weekend. The shit, these kids are wearing to the prom is just plain crazy. The Pimp coutre (SP) Seems to be the thing this generation. Myself, I would kick my kids butt if they ever tried to leave the house like that.

I also know that Prova, is not being racist. He has laughed at himself and his family on this same subject.
Don't turn this into a racist issue.
It's just plain comedy, and those wearing this shit should be laughed back into the Hood, Burbs, Ivy leagues, Where ever they come from.

Black , White, Yellow, Brown, this shit is transcending color.

I agree, he is usually on the receiving end of the jokes and I wouldnt have it any other way.

if you notice the ploce car in the back, that's bridgewater, Nj for you  Pimps up, hoes down

Racist my ass..... The race issue is played out and only kept alive by the ones who bitch and moan about every little thing. People are people and most of the descent people realize this. THere will always be bitter people who play the race card though.

This is fkn funny as hell...

What is up with the helicopter hair do? And those toe nails, Im gonna have nightmares about those things!

amazing - these youth have captured the very essence of *my* prom, a scant 31 years ago. <sigh> to be that innocent again....

I'm not ragging on the OP for posting it or dis'ing anyone who thinks they're funny and I'm not bitter or trying to play some kind of imaginary race card.

But I do think the pictures are not funny and racist in nature, presented as they are without context or even a hint as to if they're "real" or not. It's just my opinion. No need to stress over it.

Isnt it missing a number between the 3 and the 0? lol
Nope. It signifies 3.0 liters, and the torn shirt signifies boost gone bad.

hell im not racist but then again i have a pretty screwed up sense of humor. its good to just laugh at retarted shit. hell i laugh at white guy jokes.

my opinion (we all get at least one, don't we? :)

* when the term "racist" is introduced, the person who says it shouldn't be surprised when others offer rebutting/defending comments.

* your implied suggestion of presenting a more balanced perspective by offering contextual comments is well taken. perhaps we'll see a broader range of photos as prom season progresses (cause it's sure entertaining).

slightly different angle on same thread:

over the years i've worked for a handful of small software companies, all of whom were founded by "hard-working folks" who bootstrapped their companies. 4 out of 5 of these companies were successful and profitable before either ipo'ing or being acquired - some before the dot com era, some during. (the 5th company remains very successful - but independent - too)

each of these hard working folks looked like regular, blue/white collar workers - so much so that when several of them went to buy their "nice" cars (when they figured they could afford something that was reliable and *showy* <not extravagant>) they were each ignored by the dealership sales staff... they just didn't look like silicon valley "success stories" (must have been the jeans and the plaid shirts or the sears two-pant suits) yet they were each worth anywhere from $70M - $900M.

so, when i see pics like this, i think "what the HELL are they thinking?"... and a stack of other things i might not say outloud. and when i catch myself doing this, i often think of my friends... and how appearances can be deceiving.

be well.

Only on PRIME can you post some pictures of funny dressed kids and a whole life changing discussion ensues. Geeze, are most of you wound so tight that you need advice from 6 different people for a good bowel movement

Good catch on the deceiving looks. By the way that was Brians point for the post, see something funny, something funny makes you laugh, day goes by easier.....................................

My friend (black) doesn't seem to think this is racist. And just a possibility, could the gentleman in the Pacers "outfit" be a Pacers hopefull? He may have already picked out his # in his own mind, likely his highschool #.

imagine getting kicked from those ghet-toes?!!?

Actually there are Black, White, Latinos, Asians in the pictures. That is why I asked which race. I am AA, and probably the most sensative to any racism. This post was not racist. I mean that is what some people are wearing. I don't have a problem with the Basket ball theme, What people perceive as style is truly up to them. I think they are trying to make their proms memorable. 20 years from now, they will be saying WTF was I thinking.... And laughing about it. Again, I saw people of all races pimped out last weekend, More Pimp cups then I care to have seen.
But they were all having fun and communicating in a respectful manner.
I still think the style is wacked, unless I was going to a halloween party, i wouldn't think of wearing this kind of stuff.

Recognize that this stuff is worn by the trailer trash as well as the "Country club Hoes" I swear that those were the names of 2 little cliques this past weekend.

I under stand your point, and I did think twice before I posted it. Hell I even edited out the other pics I thought were raciest. Everyone who posted here knows my sense of humor and knows that I have no raciest bone in my body.
You have to stop an look at what they are wearing not the color of there skin, now ask your self what you wore at the prom, see how its funny?
