I like to thank these people for helping me during my exterior conversion project:

-For all works involved. Everyone at MV Designs is an attention to detail freak. How can a shop have so many people who are passionate in their work in one place? As I am typing this they are probably still at the shop getting cars ready for SEMA. I am partially respondsible for the overtimes. There are 3 other NSXes in the shop right now. 1 wide body, 1 custom front end, and 1 black pearl NSX. If you need paint or custom fabrication, do yourself a favor at very least drop by and see their work.

-Adam and Stanley at South Coast Acura for providing many OEM parts and putting up with my daily bugging.
-Everyone who had posted and shared similar 02 conversion or r-project experiences, information, progress, etc.
-Everyone on prime who provide encouragements.

Re: NA1.5 NSX-R project

Nicely done,

The 02+ rear valance, tail lights, skirts and wheels will complete the project

A set of white 02+ wheels will look hot with your project.

Excellent job with the front conversion

Re: NA1.5 NSX-R project

nicely done jason...can't wait to see the whole car complete, but so she's lookin' HOT!!!!

Re: NA1.5 NSX-R project

Really nice looking ride. Congrat's to you and many, many happy and safe miles.

Re: NA1.5 NSX-R project

You guys in SoCal have too much peer pressure. I have probally spent about 5k to 6k on just the rear end conversion. now i have to spend another 6k-7k on the front too. I'm going to have to hold off for that. LOOKS great though.

By the way what is that you are using over the reflectors? I wanted to have mine welded to a peice of aluminum and then ground and painted, but no one in the Kansas City area said they would do it because they do not have the experience welding aluminum.

Re: NA1.5 NSX-R project

your car is porn on wheels. gorgeous!

Re: NA1.5 NSX-R project

i am in love...........I will hopefully be there soon excluding the 02 headlights and those damn hideous wheels (however they are the ultimate in performance i'm sure) BUT...they look good on the nsx-r look alike.
great job man, i am also jealous

Thanks everyone for the kind words:smile:

The oem rear valence+side skirts are next top priority items. Projects takes planning, time, patience, and lots of green:frown:

Welding the aluminum and performing the side markers delete cost $1000~$1200:frown:. Serialnsxer and RyanITV probably didn't pay any less. I wish I had done it it, too late to say that now.

My side markers are painted, I like to pick up a set of clear side markers eventually.

I can get real JDM fenders for less than the cost that you mentioned to do the conversion.
Hey Jason,
Check out my new R item coming... in one of your threads you started.

Re: NA1.5 NSX-R project

Loving the progress so far!

Tell me, how did you figure the 40-50 lbs reduction by the '02 conversion. Did you weigh all the parts?

I had heard that 10kg could be saved in the headlights alone but I have never seen anything to back that up...

Thanks

Yeah, I did my conversion backwards literally. I did the NSX-R rear end conversions ready and now im going to do the OEM sides sometime soon. Then will do the Front End in a few years. I think i spent about 5K-6K on just the rear end from the hatch back.
