Wanna give you a short project update.
We closed the development of the PROCAR 60mm ERS spring system conversion kit for the TEIN RE suspension kit.
This setup is the very simular to the OEM NSX-R NA2 setup now, and height adjustable.

We could realize an unspringed weight reduction of 4.2 kg (9.2 lbs) to the standard TEIN RE suspension and 17.0 kg (37.5 lbs) to the NSX-R suspension.

NSX-R OEM suspension: 28.4 kg (62.7 lbs)
TEIN RE standard suspension: 15.6 kg (34.4 lbs)
TEIN RE with Procar spring conversion kit: 11.4 kg (25.1 lbs)

Our full attention goes again to the cf parts production now.

so is that a 10K front, 8k rear setup? Accord to Andrie, the Tein's shock is way too stiff and when you lower the spring rate from 12k to 8k at the back, are we supposed to revalve the shock??

PS. I have RA instead of RE, will these springs work on RA too??

We decide to take some higher spring rates as the OEM NSX-R setup, because the standard NSX has some more weight at the wheels.
Regarding all this parameters, our system is very simular to the NSX-R setup.

We find out that the TEIN shocks dont need a revalve.

Not sure if our setup will fit on RA, because RE allows us to definate the basic car height adjustment with the lower coilovers. RA dont have this.
For RA I would try to go with an additional helper spring system....but that is also more weight again.

Nice. I take it you have made a ring that sits in the upper mount, and centres the spring? Was there any change to the lower perch, or did the spring fit on the TEIN lower perch?

Is the weight reduction (4kg) per spring/damper?

You know I've been looking at doing the same thing with my RA. Except that the springs will need to be longer, than you have used, and need a tender spring. Though with the ERS springs, I could also use a non-linear helper spring, and a high poundage main.

I think I need to make some measurements

The PROCAR spring fits perfect with the upper mount.

The lower mount (spring perches) are machined, the standard dont fit. The TEIN dust covers are too big in diameter too, we take another, better one.

That would be too nice, because after the TEIN suspension would weight as much as air.
No, we could reach total a weight reduce of 4.2 kg to the standard TEIN RE and amazing 17.0 kg to the genuine Type R suspension.

Think that 11.4 kg (25.1 lbs) isnt easy to top.

Yes, that could be the way. A pity that the RA needs the helper springs....so you have to calculate some more weight.

If you need my help, please ask.

The PROCAR conversion kit will stay an unicate, we dont introduce and sale it....finally we need another test day
at the Nürburgring Nordschleife soon.
