So I got the door fixit thingy from Dali today (for a broken interior door handle latch), and I replaced the broken piece. I closed it all back up but now I'm finding that if I use my keyless to unlock from outside, the lock goes up and then comes partially back down and the door won't open. If I time it right (while it is still up), the door will open. Similarly when I insert the key and just turn, it won't unlock the door unless I also pull on the handle while turning the key. From inside the car, I can use the power lock/unlock and it works just fine.
I'm going to open it up again tomorrow and have another look at it, but just wondering if anyone else has had this type of experience? Could it just be the cable connecting to the latch isn't routed properly causing it to not pull all the way or somesuch? The only thing is that while it was broken, the cable was clearly not connected to the interior handle and unlocking the door from outside with either the key or using keyless worked just fine. I'm thinking I might have screwed up something else, but I don't know what...
