If the main relay, fuel filter/pump have all checked out alright and you run out of ideas, try this. Might be oversimplifying things but I thought I'd mention it. I had experienced trouble starting after short distance drives as well (mine is stock, with cold weather and over 5500 ft) and I had read somewhere on prime to do something like the following.Get in.Put the key in.Turn it so that you activate just the electrical (do not start the car).Put on your seatbelt.Then start the car.When the electrical is activated, you've heard the fuel pump go on and the subtle sound of the fuel rumbling. During this time, I just fasten my seat belt and get situated, then the fuel rumbling usually has stopped. It's at this point, for me at least that the car starts without any hesitation and has worked everytime. However, there have been instances for short runs to the bank or store where I rushed it and did not wait and the car didn't start. I'll wait a few, start all over with this little technique and it starts up. If the car has been sitting for a long time, I don't have to do this and it starts right up. It's after short distances for me. I don't know if it could be an altitude thing, the cold winter or what. Anyways, I hope you figure it out.
