A friends 97 NSX recently hit a pothole pretty badly and a few miles later, the tread completely came off the tire. Parts of the sidewall were intact so it didn't exactly have to sit on the rim until the tow truck came. In any case, he got it home and jacked it up to remove the tire and put on the spare... but after removing the wheel lock and 4 lug nuts, we couldn't pull the tire off. Are we missing a step somewhere?? Any suggestions?? Thanks!

I assume you mean 5 lug nuts? The wheels have a close fit to the center part of the hub and they sometimes stick. Just kick the tire and it should pop loose if it that doesn’t work hit the tire from the rear with something heavy. Note: don't hit the wheel!!!

NSX FoYoAss Good catch I missed the part about the lock when I read Capone's post. My NSX has 5 lug nuts and no locks. Maybe some one will steal my stock wheels so I can get some new ones.
Try a rubber mallet on the backside of the wheels.
