Pride High Flow Cats vs. SOS High Flow Cats...are either CO legal?

I live in Colorado and am looking to purchase an NSX that is currently out of state. Currently the car has comptech headers, test pipes and a pride v1 exhaust system. Unfortunately I live in a CO county that will require emissions testing on the car every two years. The following high flow cats have been recommended...

does anybody know if either set will get me through CO emissions? If both will, can anyone shed light on why to pick one over the other?

I have Pride high flow cats on my car and have passed Maryland state emissions twice no problem

Member Angus makes nice hi-flow cats, and I believe they pass emissions. I have them, but don't need to emissions-test mine here. They are very high quality, and he is an NSX owner and a helpful contributor on Prime.

I don't know about Colorado Springs, but Denver has several drive past smog stations on various I-25 or I-70 on ramps (and some other locations, I assume). As long as you go past 3 stations in the three months prior to renewing registration, you don't have to take it to the dyno check if you pass the emissions check. I have never had an issue in 12 years -- always pass. Also know that you only need to do this every two years.

Thanks for the heads up! Do you have test pipes on your NSX or HFC's? If HFC's, which ones are you using?

I have Top Speed headers, Taitec GT 102 Inconel exhaust and an intake, but the cats are original. I wouldn't be surprised if your system is hot and you drive past one of the remote stations that you'll be ok.

All the information is there. he closest to the springs this week is in Castle Rock, which may be a pain, but at least you'll be hot by the time you get there. You need 2 pass bys prior to registration, and they can't be on the same day. The schedule changes every week, and perhaps there will be ones closer to you.

Drive the car very aggressively on the way to the inspection station. I've been told the hotter the cats get the easier they will pass.
