I'm currently trying to buy a totalled NSX which has been wrecked in the back. The front end was used off of it, and all thats left is the complete drivetrain, interior and doors. Its a 3.0/5spd drivetrain. I'm haggling over the price of the car right now, and was just curious what a complete NSX drivetrain would be worth? Its got 110K miles on it, and will be sold WITH a copy of the title for the vehicle. I've seen a few listed on eBay, but never paid much attention to the final bids. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

A new engine alone is over $20,000 and a 2000 NSX with damaged front end and under 10K miles is about the same ie. here

a used drive train with wires has been estimated at around $6,000. I would think anything under $5,000 would be worth consideration.

The 5-spd is worth very little unless YOU need one. Even less if in snap ring range. With 110k on it but assumed healthy (likely hard to prove before you buy it) I would value the engine at ~$3k if it still has all the accessories such as alternator, starter, coils, injectors, etc. I have seen a similar one go for as little as $2k, but that was quite a deal IMO. The half shafts would be worth a few bucks as well. (I would be glad to purchase them if not damaged)

Since it was a rear accident, depending on the point(s) of impact, there may be significant risk of internal damage to the transmission and to a lesser degree the engine. So some guarantees should be supplied at the above price.
