What is current market value for 2002 OEM wheels?

Don't remember exactly but I've seen good-excellent conditions ones go for $1800-$2400 these past few months.

anyone in the bay area selling?

Don't limit yourself to local sellers, or you may have that much tougher a time finding a set. Wheels can be shipped; the typical cost for ground shipping within the 48 states is around $100 or so for four wheels only, or $200 or so for four wheels with tires mounted on them.

Also, don't forget, you'll need spacers (in front, IIRC) to mount those on the earlier cars.

I sold mine for $1900 with tires. But I had like an instant 6 buyers. I actually gave up a buyer and sent them to Oscar. Because his wheels were a better fit. And mine were a better fit for someone else. So both our wheels sold off my add rather fast. I had some curb rash, so did oscars. They weren't perfect. I know another set that just sold for $2500 on eBay. They were rash free. I think a mint set is $2500+ and a rashy set is like $2-22.

A year ago I paid $2900 (including shipping) for a set of '05 wheels and tires from a prime member in Canada. The only way I was able to secure the transaction was to tell the seller I'd pay full price provided they were in as good a condition as he described. He had previously received several offers but I was the only bidder to offer full price. Did I pay too much? Probably. Am I infinitely happy with the 2005 wheels on the car vs. the '91 OEM wheels? Absolutely.

They're pretty much worth what you are willing to spend. Anything less than dealer price is a bargain it seems. Seen prices from $2000 to 4500.
When I purchased mine there wasn't too many sets to choose from so I paid too much, but they were like brand new, including centre caps and nuts, and shipped. Sold my stock ones to a guy with a 91. He's happy, I'm happy. They look great.

They also make fake 2002+ wheels.
Not sure if you can get them new, but that's what I bought used off prime.
Still not cheap, I think I paid $2000 for my knock-offs.
Still though, I wouldn't own a NSX without proper wheels.
The difference in looks with nice wheels and lowered is huge.

.

Man I gave mine away... LOL well at least they went to a good guy and he said he would give me first dibs if I wanted them back.

The norm is in the low to mid 2k range. Anything more than that... is crazy imo.

They also do make reps as previously mentioned, which are around 2k.
I also have a set of Jacksports NSX-R wheels which look 02-05 oem, but have better offsets and are finished in gunmetal.

It's not easy to find sets of used wheels that are in truly mint condition. If that's what you want, and you found a set, then there's plenty of reason to be happy, and I wouldn't be worrying about paying too much.

As for the price, keep in mind the variables - condition, shipping (typical rates noted above; buying local avoids not only shipping fees, but can avoid any disagreements over condition), tires (can make an okay deal into a great deal IF they come with the type of tires you would want anyway), etc.

Oh, and if you want brand new ones, they're still available from the dealer. List price is $2,033 each, which you can find discounted to $1,505. Plus you'll need to buy center caps ($62 list each, $46 discounted).

I just bought a set on ebay for $2500 might be the same ones Turbo2Go was talking about.

It is funny that when a set of aftermarket 17/17 or 18/18 wheels come up for sale on this site, the seller literally cannot give them away. For some reason 17/17 OEM 02+ wheels fetch $2,000+. The NSX really looks off without double staggered wheels. Too bad a knock off 02+ OEM 17/18 combo has yet to be produced.

Agreed. I love the 02-05 wheels, however, they look a little funny in 17/17.

No they were shipped out Saturday, plus I will only get pictures of them when they arrived. I won't be home to actually see them.

I was quoted $4000 for a brand new set from Acura.
I'm guessing that price was from your local dealer for a set of "take offs" (stock wheels removed from a car for aftermarket or special-order ones at the time of delivery of the new car). It's extraordinarily low for a dealer parts department that orders a set for you, since it's less than the price the dealer pays for them.

I'll just leave this here.

LoL same color I plan on doing to my 02 wheels. I think I might PlastiDip them 1st to make sure its what I want, and then powdercoat them if I really want them that way.

Honestly, if you decide to change the color, I would look into painting them. Their forged wheels and don't really need to go through that heating process again. Mine are painted and have held up great.

^What tire sizes and suspension are you running? The rear tires look beefier than usual. Are you running spacers in the rear?
