SEMA SHOW LAS VEGAS, NV - The ScienceofSpeed Acura NSX was chosen by a panel of judges for Sony Entertainment's Gran Turismo 4 Awards as the "Best Japanese Import" at the 2003 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV. The car was chosen from more than a hundred entries at the show produced by various tuners from around the country.
Five categories were established for the contest to judge the various types of cars on display at the show. Of these five, one car was chosen to be digitized into the release of the new Gran Turismo 4 video game to be released next year. A 1964 Chevrolet has been selected to be featured in the upcoming game. The award was presented by Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of the Gran Turismo series.
The ScienceofSpeed NSX has been developed to carry the theme of the JGTC racing NSXes in Japan. The car features a carbon fiber widebody conversion, adjustable racing suspension, and engine with individual throttle body induction. The car is being featured in the Pioneer booth (no. 20028) at the SEMA show to showcase Pioneer's next generation of automobile navigation electronics.
