power steering removal on 95+ model NSX

I do not know about removing, but it is controlled by a box underneath the passenger side dash where the alarm, remote entry and ABS are located. It can be disabled. If you turn the wheel while cranking the car, it will usually disable the ecu due to a quirk in the programming. I have driven my '95 both with and without, and I have a '92 without. The non-powered version of the power steering is little heavier at low speeds than the manual, but above 25 mph, I really cannot tell a difference.HTH.

I used to do all my track events with the power stear fuse pulled,I liked the heavyness but I've stopped as I have gotten used to the power assist.I also used to be really pure and dissabled the abs,but have stopped and can't say that I was quicker either way.

As I recall, above a certain speed (35 mph, I believe), there is no power assist on the steering. So there's really no reason to disconnect it.
