Power steering 1991?

Ok, so I went to go test drive a 1991 nsx today. Car is great, everything checks out fine. 25k on the motor. The only thing that puzzled me was the car did not have power steering. I always had the impression that all NSX's had power steering. Am I wrong? The owner of the car says he bought it like that about a year or two ago and there are no mods to the car (except for wheels).

I was just wondering if any 1991's came without power steering, and if in the case that it was removed, should i be worried about it?

The 1991 - 1994 cars with a manual transmission do not have power steering. The 1999 Zanardi edition does not either. Everyhing else does (all years of automatic transmission cars and all 1995 or later model years other than Zanardi).

They don't have p/s but as soon as you start moving you almost can't tell. Only in parking lots and other slowing moving areas can you tell.

I drove my friends '02 and I actually prefer my '91 nonpower steering better. : )
