My antenna on my NSX had a problem of not wanting to retract some of the time. It always would go up fine, but had problems retracting. I called the local Acura dealer and just about flipped when I heard how much a replacement would cost.(approx $400) Searching the net, I found a site called antennaworld.com and gave them a call. The tech I spoke with was very knowledgeable and told me that all I needed to do was disassemble the antenna and clean the contacts on the relay that controls the motor. I did exactly as he recommended and it worked fine for approximately 3 months. Then it began to fail again. I called him again and he also offered replacement internal components for a very reasonable price. Also, he informed me that they had a antenna from the same manufacturer as the stock Acura antenna that looks identical to stock for $89 in either chrome like the original or black. My NSX is black and I though the black antenna would look better on the car than the original chrome. I ordered and received the antenna in 2 days. Installing the antenna did require some modifications. I completely disassembled the stock antenna and used some of the hardware to modify the new antenna. In short, the black antenna looks awsome on the black car and works perfectly at a much cheaper cost than stock. Also, everything looks completely original other than color. I would highly recommend Antennaworld.com to anyone who needs assistance with a powered antenna for any application. If anyone on this forum needs more info, let me know. I'd be happy to talk to anyone who might be having a similar antenna problem.
