Possible to fit Comptech Front Lip to Non-Widebody?

I am thinking about molding the Comptech front lip to my NSX front lower bumper. I know that the Comptech front lip is part of the Comptech wide body kit. Would the front lip still fit a non=widebody? If not, how difficult would it be to modify to make it fit? Has anyone done this?

Anyone know whether the Comptech lip is made of urithane?

I believe Comptech discontinued this kit, but I think Dali still sells them.

Is this the same lip or is this a whole bumper kit?

Thats the whole conversion to widebody.

The front lip can be cut and modified but it is alot of work and will not fit correctly. You will need to cut about 2 in. off of each side. The sides will still not line up correctly and will stick out away from the bumper. I have this lip and am in the process of remaking it as a one piece front lower fascia. The lip is made of urethane.

This is Ricks Car. He has the Comptech Widebody Lip. I believe alot of modification was required to fit the lip to the stock NSX bumper. Contact Comptech for the lip but I'm not sure you can buy it without the widebody kit.

How was the fitment/installation of the do luck front bumper it looks awesome. Your car is one of my favorites. Do you have any new pics?

Fitment of the Do-luck was really good. No trim work was needed. There were a few small pinholes in the fibreglass upper bumper that we filled in and the original bumper foam support needed to be slightly shaved to fit under the do-luck piece but other than that it was straight bolt on. The do-luck is actually a better made piece than the Brabus K8 bumper for my CLK which was almost double the price.

I'll get some new pic up soon.

no dice...

What is the material of the OEM front-bumper? The Comptech lip is urethane, and according to my body-shop guy: molding the lip to the NSX bumper isn't possible due to the two parts having a different composition. He stated that it wouldn't last, and in the end it would essentially be like making a whole new front-bumper w/ all the fabrication. :frown:

Any outside-the-box thinkers out there wanna throw their 2pence into the mix?!? Ideally, I wanted to have the molded look for the precise fit & finish. I'd even settle for a molded "look" now. I hope Bondo isn't the only solution, sigh... :frown:
