Folks-

I am sure that we have a nick name for our cars. My NSX, I call "Sexy!" This may sound goofy, but not as much so as my other cars........"Chubby" (MB S320 LWB), "EMMY" (M3), "Oldie But Goodie" (1982 Pontiac GP LS).

Cheers-

Nev ("Car Crazy"....coined by my Wife!)

Eileen

Every car I have ever owned has had a name (usually female name). My NSX has been named ever since I was in 10th grade 13 years ago even though I didn't have one yet. Eileen is her name and always has been. I knew one day Eileen would be in my garage, This past June it finally happened:D:D:D

1990 CRX Si - Rio
2001 GTi VR6 - Samantha
1999 Jeep Cherokee - Ashley

Good thing that you spell yours a little different. After the autoX, I called mine "I-lean". Here is the reason...

I think he was referring to other cars...like when you see a car, do you have a nickname for it, not just our NSX's..

I refer to my NSX as "The X" or "The Batmobile", just like nsx1...and I had mine first, so I win :p

anyways, some other cars:

Toyota Echo is a "go-kart"
VW Beetle: either "Roller skate" or "Upside-down bathtub"
RX7s: Mini Vipers
Viper: Snake
Corvettes: @$$holes (everyones got one and they stink! j/k)
360: Bubble mobile
Porsche: Mid-Life Crisis as in 'Hey, look at that mid-life crisis!!' ;)
Other NSXs: "copycat" :p
Jaguar: Jag or "Shaguar" hehe
Lexus RX330: Insect
Camaro: Generic Trans-am
Trans-am: Batcar

My old Toyota Landcruiser is L.C. (Elsie the cow),

my Toyota Supra TT was the "Monster", my old Toyota FX was "Turbito", My Miata was the "Baby", my wife's Odyssey van she calls the "Lamborghini" (because of the impressive acceleration...for a van), and my NSX I call the "Beaut".

LS 430....the box
gs430....the hunchback

My friend started calling my car "NSX-exy" like sexy! Now some how it's caught on with the other friends. I just refer to it as "the NSX." :p

When I was a cocky twenty-something, as opposed to the cocky thirty-something I am now;) , I called my car "The Bitcher-Picker Upper" like the Bounty Paper Towel slogan. To all the ladies who read this post, please forgive me:o for my slang remark that I used in my youth. It will not happen again, I am truly sorry. Boy I am starting to sound like AHH-RR-NOLD now!

My X is just, "the Acura."

I used to call Trans-ams "Fire chickens" back when I used to go cruising as a teen in my Cuda. And I just called Camaros "boring." :D

I call my Black NSX as Black Civic and my red Civic as Ferrari. Sometime I call the NSX as 3.0Litre Civic. Never call it the ferrari though, I'm proud its a Honda. People ask me what car I normally drive and I told them its a 3.0Litre Civic. They said it does not exist so I told them its a special Civic. Hehe.:D They were surprise to see its an NSX.

1952 MG TD kit car, red (built it when I was 14, took 2 years, first time Dad heard me curse, LOL) -- many many bad bad names

1987 Toyota Supra blue, totalled, black, totalled again - Suzanne - friend in collge named her. his 83 Supra was Muffy

1987 Porsche 944, off white - Kristina -
German chick friend said that is was the only name I could use without thinking of some big fat sweaty thing or say without sounding like I was about to hock up a big greenie

1994 Corvette, black - Victoria - so wanted to put a supercharger in her. Victoria's Secret. get it? the name stuck although the charger never appeared, sniff sniff

1992 NSX, black - Roxanne - very sexy, yet something very down and dirty hiding within.

It's kinda funny, but of all the motorcycles I have owned, I have never named a single one. Always just call them by part of their actual name. ZX12R is The 12. fzr600 is The fzr. GSX-R 600, the GSXR, not gixxer, like so many say.

i have several nicknames for my car the most commonly used by me is "Beau/beaut", Ns-Sex", The "X" affectionatly the "Beast":D and finally "My Baby"

My names go according to project:

Stock civic, on nitrous: Alpha

Stock civic, rebuilt internals after blowing up on nitrous: Beta

H22 in civic: Gamma

Completely built (11.5:1) H22 in civic: Delta

Rebuilt-built completely (12.5:1) after over-camming the engine causing valve-valve AND valve-piston contact: Epislon

This classifies the NSX as the Zeta project...

As soon as I put my civic back together.. (again..... machine shop spec'd the valve-piston clearance wrong... 1.. yes.. only one valve hit.. I was mad so I bought the nsx).. that'll be the Eta project..

:p
