OK, out of curiosity, and a dispute I have with my friends which I will mention later, I want to know, what is the general opinion for this Forum about ball games as a general

It is hard to comment on this with so many factors involved. For instance, I love Pro Football, but don't really like watching college football. (probably because I went to Mizzou :D ) I like college basketball, but don't really care for NBA basketball. (probably because I went to Mizzou and St. Louis has no pro team) Pro baseball is the only thing that interests me. (can't stand the aluminum bats)

I have zero interest in soccer. It amazes me how popular soccer is across the pond, basically everywhere else but the US, and we still haven't caught on. While I played it all throughout school when I was growing up, it is boring to watch for me. I did see Toby Jones last week in Vegas though. (I had to ask who he was;) )

Ok, I am completely fanatic about it (tonight is Champions League, a couple billions people will understand what I mean! :D ) and I still have no clue who Toby Jones is! :p Honestly! (US soccer player maybe?)

The fact that soccer looks boring is very subjective. Also Formula One looks boring to a lot of people in the US but outside the US it is the number one event, after soccer.

As said it is all subjective, I could not stand 30 sec of Football or Baseball...

Baseball is it for me. I've lost touch with other sports in the last few years. Winters are always long for me and it's always a relief when the season starts again. No Fantasy Baseball, either.

It's like a saying that a friend and I have: If it invloves a ball, puck, or internal combustion engine - I'm interested. :D

i love all the "ball" sports, but i prefer to play over watching.
basketball would have to be my fav, but lacrosse is up there too.. although it's not very popular here in cali.. not as much anyway..
soccer is sweet, i prefer indoor due to the speed of the game...
i don't like tennis, but i love ping pong..
baseball is slow, and as a red sox fan i'm beginning to dislike the game.. :p
football is great, i enjoy watching it because the season is pretty short, gives more meaning to each game..
although hockey doesn't involve a ball, i love it too, but i prefer to be playing, or at least be at the game, hockey can get boring on tv...
sorry to ramble.. :)

Zuerst, I am still curious who is the picture of in your profile?

As far as soccer, I know more people like it across the world than the basketball, football, or baseball, but it is just a personal preference of mine. I just can't stomach to watch it, but boring for me may not be boring for millions of others who love it. GOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!!!!1:D

Your poll seems limited.

I play soccer competitively. I don't care much for being a 'watcher' of activities unless is it MMA. If you know what that is, than you know what I mean.

For me, currently, its motorsports and socccer... maybe in the near future MMA training. ;)

Sports down under

I like everything but baseball. However, what got me going was OZ form of football and NZ version of football. Those guys really know how to play rough. US football next to it is well ... how do I say it without getting flamed: sissy. I liked it so much that while in Christchurch last summer (winter there) I bought " All Blacks" T shirt. Now that I wear it I get weird looks from some people (being white) but I like the team a lot and it brings me back to the land of NZ.:D

Don't like watching any ball games, incredibly tedious for me, unless i'm actually playing (stuffing around) Which is why i got into martial arts. Give me K1 or pride any day. :)

yeah, K1 & Pride rules. I've seen just about every event so far. Do you know anything about the Sapp vs. Tyson fight?

Doesn't "lacrosse" mean masturbating in French slang? :D

Mixed Martial Arts, like K1, Pride and UFC where fighting style is open (with a few rules to avoid permanent injury like no biting, eye gouging, etc.). I also enjoy watching these events but a really good fight is rare.

I saw that video were a kick boxer tries to kick his opponent and his opponent blocks his kick. Then that guy's leg brakes and he doesn't notice that and he tries to stand on it and of course, you can't stand on a leg with a broken bone so his leg twists like a straw and he falls to the ground.

I couldn't bring my self to watching Martial arts after that. Although I used to be a yellow belt in both Karate and Taekwondo, and I am seriously thinking of going after the black belt in Karate, but I would still rather see karate as an art rather than a fighting skill, more of a way to completely master your body than breaking someone else's body.

But, then again, I would never pursue a medical degree either (blood and gore, disgusting), so I guess I am a faint hearted.

yeah, i like watching martial arts. i can appreciate boxing at a certain level, but since tyson's antics ive been really turned off. I think he took it down to the gladiator bloodsport level----pretty twisted-sick. Sugar ray and Ali were different.

i like baseball(still play softball), prefer college basketball over pro, like live hockey, dont care for soccer, like football tele or live.

and here's a weird one---watching polo is incredible. Too bad it isnt more of a mainstream sport, although it might not be too good televised.

Do you mean AFL or rugby league? yeah we don't need armour!
:p

K1 max has some excellent fights, ultimate fighting championships have some good fights(UFC) Pride has a great card coming up on the 25th? http://www.pridefc.com

I saw the same thing at a soccer match, i can still watch soccer you wuss!:p You can always find an example of something to make a point. It doesnt mean it happens the majority of the time.

It is supposed to happen in July or august
http://www.sherdog.com these forums have had a lot of conjecture of late. I'd love to see it for the hype alone. The actual fight if it ever eventuates, will be quite short i imagine! The contract is supposed to be signed shortly.
