Question.... If you have a partner helping to hold up the window when you go to insert both the cable ends into the new fixit thingy, do you still need the "slotted" pliers?
Thanks
Thanks
Based on the write-up, yes. Your friend holding the window would only eliminate the use of taping the window down to prevent it from slipping into the door jamb. As long as you keep the tension off, it might workCokerRat said:Question.... If your window has already fell, it may be too late for a simple fix.Me333-NSX said:Is anyone anywhere near Anaheim, CA? My damn window fell down and I don't have a damn mechanical bone in my body. I'm serious, I can't even change the oil, that's how bad I am. My passenger's side window fell down. And I'm pretty sure its the window thingy that needs to be replaced. Any help? 50 Bucks to the guy who can help me. If they say you can do it in 20 minutes, thats like 150/hour. Please I'm very desperate, are there any good samaritans out there call me at 714-724-7905 or pm me or email me at [email protected]

The picture of the channel locks there is exactly what you want. You don't need more than 1/4 - 3/8 " of a slot.
In case I wasn't clear, the notch in the channel locks isn't what I screwed up. .
