Please help w/ my tension pulley problem.

I removed my A/C tension pulley. As I was unbloting it, the washers and nut fell and I did not remember in what order they went back on.

Here is a pic of all the pieces:

Based on that picture, can someone tell me which side of the pulley faces the engine and in what order all those pieces go back on? That alone would help me a LOT.


While I am making this thread, how do I make sure its my pulley thats bad? Should the middle spin freely from the rest? If so, it seems frozen.

Mine is installed wrong (but is working fine). Whoever worked on my car before I bought it must have been daft. It's got over 15K miles and several track sessions since I bought it. Oh well, easy to fix. Glad you posted this.

You are looking at the "backside" of the dust cover in the pic. Washer goes on behind the nut.
 
Starting from the left in the picture, the items are numbered 1,3,2,4. So it goes pulley, small washer, large plate, nut

The pic shows the side of the pulley that faces the engine.
