Has anyone tried to put their NSX on the market recently? Whats the interest like? Ive been toying with the idea of unloading the car for something else as its probably my biggest expense and the item i get the least use out of... but i figue it may take a while to sell, i may loose money, I dunno, i guess if I come across the right buyer ....
What do you guys think?

Expect a ton of calls from advertisers if you list it on Kijiji or autotrader.ca as they are like vultures ripping thru the ads. They look for people to give them $300 just to advertise your car on the sites you could easily do for free yourself. I have advertised my car for several weeks but with no serious offers. One guy offered 9k less than I was asking so that was laughable. I think its the fact that most interested parties would rather wait until the spring to purchase since they likely can't use the car until then anyway. jmho

+1 and....

You'll get lots of low ballers this time of year. I had a guy offer to swap me art work he painted for mine. A couple of people who are serious will keep your add and call you in the spring when they want to buy. You'll also get a few more $$$ once the weather warms up.

What are the details of your car, maybe we can give you an idea of what to expect?

To be honest I'd much rather wait until next year as it looks like I'll be hired by another company over here.

Thanks though warren for looking out for me.

LOL, I just don't want you to offer me an insane amount of money for mine!

IMHO the NSX is not an overtly sought after car. To a certain car guy, yes it's an easy sell, but to the vast public, it's an acquired taste.

The audience you'll want to sell to are the import guys, specifically Honda guys who covet the nsx as a logical step up. I see a real S2K connection. M3's tend to attract import guys with money too.

Sorry to hear you're thinking of selling Marc. I was playing with the idea as well, but only so I can bring in a jdm rhd NSX-R from Osaka.

I think what you've done is a good start. My guess is the ratio of lurkers to posters in the CDN forum is at least 4 to 1, so this post should generate some responses.

I myself have been lurking here for months- it's a great way to get familiar with people and their cars, especially since I intend to buy an NSX one day. I have wanted an NSX since I started driving, and now I can actually afford one...but as far as places to purchase go, IMHO Classifieds are too risky, and dealers have high prices with uncertain quality...so I have joined Prime and now read it every day. I am learning about the finer points of the car, and the NSX culture on the CDN board.

Hopefully it pays off one day by me buying an awesome car form a fellow NSXPrime'r

Im in the same boat as well
Going to list the car and advertise a bit
if no interest, I dont mind keeping it for another driving season... there is a car I want and to give away a hint.. its similar to what Sean has

If anyone is interested in a Clean Canadian '94 let me know

Point of interest - Autotrader has significantly increased their fees since being bought by the Yellow Pages. If you're dipping your toes in the water for interest, it may be better to save your pennies for the spring.

thanks for the replies...

Well the question is what are you looking to get for it? We all know what we put into any car we'll never get back out of it.

BTW love your car looks sweet, I guess you didn't make it to NSXPO '09? Have you met with anyone one from the club?
