Apparently there are 3 NSX owners so far who’ve applied to participate in the Players Run. I’m one of them, are the other 2 here? I’m somewhat concerned about the lack of information and activity on their web site. Supposedly 120 people have applied to participate. Yet only a few have posted on the forums. I contacted one of the organizers to get more info on the charity aspect of the event. He told me they did not know yet how much of the proceeds would be going to the Make a Wish Foundation. I would think something like that would be concrete by now. They are claiming that 10% of the route will be blocked off from the public so that the drivers can go as fast as they’d like. Is this even legally possible? I’d like to verify the legitimacy of the event without offending the organizers. Any ideas on how I can go about doing this? I've already called the Make a Wish Foundation to verify their involvement and I was shuffled around to several local chapters. They said they will get back to me.

Sorry for the late reply, but I'm still catching up with NSXPrime. (Just came back from a month long vacation.)

I read recently in (I believe Money Magazine or it could have been Forbes) that Make A Wish Foundation was one of the worse charities.

the organizer said the same thing. he said there is a national chapter and a ton of regional chapters. he wanted to give a lump sum to the national chapter but the rest apparently spazzed out about it. now the proceeds will be distribute among all the regions the rally will be passing through.

another nsxprime member (prov4re) and i plan on participating in this event. wish us luck.
