Good Morning Evreryone,

While getting into my car the other day, I noticed that the air conditioner display and the radio display was hazed over. It dulled out and I cant see what is being displayed. Has anyone had this problem before? Does anyone know how to fix or recondition the plastic? I use 2001 (like Armour All) on my dash and vinyl/plastics. This is a product that I've been using for years.

TIA,

If your display is scratched, you might want to try going to a good aqarium shop, if they sell acrylic tanks they will have a few polishes that will remove the fine scratches.
Novus 1 and Novus 2 are what I use on my Sting Ray's rear window, works like a charm.
After polishing, just try to dust the plastic in the future, that stuff scratches without even trying.

Thanks, I'll see what I can find here. What color are the bottles? Or are they tubes (like toothpaste)?

Are you talking about a slow buildup or scratches, or a sudden change in the plastic itself?

If it's a sudden change in the plastic, it sounds like a chemical reaction or something...??

sounds like you left it on to long or GOT SOME condensation behind? display?if not one trick is the way watch makers buff a plastic watch crystal. get some light red rouge apply a very small amount to white cloth attachment for dremol. and buff it in , follow up with white compound.buff off with clean white cloth attachment.DO NOT get over zelous with this or you will hose your displays.but i used this method to remove a scratch I incurred on my gauge pod viewing lens when installing indiglows.took it right out and is perfect.dont even think of trying it if you feel uncomfortable working with this stuff
