Hello,

I am going to take 15/16 track wheels to the track instead of putting them on the car beforehand, but I cannot find a plastic bag that is big enough to put the rims. Could you please tell me what you use?

Thank you.

You should go check out your local tire shop

Discount tires, Les schrab... etc.

and the normal black garbage bags will work too.. (The one that you used for 4ft. tall garbage can...)

At your local grocery store, hardware store, etc., you can get two different sizes of bags. One is better than the other.

The "normal" garbage bags, made to fit inside trash cans, have 30-33 gallon capacity. These are either too small for tires, or they are tight and difficult to put on.

The lawn and leaf bags, made to collect leaves and yard waste, have 39 gallon capacity. These are just fine - perfect.

Great! Thank you.

I must have been using 30-33 gallon ones.
I should look for 39 gallon ones now.

ask the janitor/cleaning people in your building for the big ones they use on the big trash can they wheel around to remove the trash from your cubicle. They are usually semi-clear. and free.

PS- I keep one in each of my cars, along with a set of laytex gloves in case I have a flat. = clean hands and clean car interior (since the flat tire won't fit in the "donut" space). I stow the bag/gloves in with the tire jack.

PPS- and acts as an emergency rain coat in a pinch. ;) - Heloise.

That's not a bad idea! Incidentally, Sam's Club (or, at least, samsclub.com) sells these. They are 44 to 50 gallons in size. But you're going to spend $50-65 for a carton of 100-200 bags...

If you really want to impress people and travel in style, we offer a tire cover product - with an NSX silhouette logo as an option; without the logo you can use it in any other car to keep your trunk clean in case of a flat. They will give you the utmost protection, and will last for years.

And once you get to the track you can also protect your real wheels as well from the elements ;)

Shipment of this very compact product is to arrive anyday and we will post more details.
