After my crash at Spa Franchorchamps last october and my widebody conversion, it was the first time I hit the track again. This time on the beautifull circuit of Zandvoort in the Dunes (The Netherlands). Last monday evening the track was open for a few hours, so I had the change to check the balance was ok. And it was. Here are a few pictures:

Awesome.

How does the car drive on the track with the bodykit compared to OEM? Did you notice a difference?

It feels a little more understeered. I think the GT500 Wing has a lot to do with it. But the car feels also more robust. It feels a little less crispy in cornering. But overall I feel, due to the fact that the wheels are about two inches more to the outside, a more stable car. The best part is, that track times are better than before. The car is really fast. On one of the pictures you see me passing a Porsche Turbo (996) and even on the straights the Porsche couldn't keep up with me. Even the Donkervoorts were slower in the fast corners.

Hi Gerard,

You car is looking great !!! I especially like the shot from above.
As for the handling though, I have a question. You say the car is more understeering than before and I don really understand this. Of course, I have nowhere your experience in racing, but with the GT 500 wing on your car, would that not mean than grip from your rear wheels is increased so you would oversteer more (instead of understeer ??)
Maybe just a dumb question....

Oversteer --> The rear sliding out AKA drifting, more steering then you wish for.
Understeer --> The front sliding out. AKA going straight ahead, less steering reaction then you want.
