Today was the second annual NSX Tax Relief Drive, set up by ss_md, with assistance from tbNSX and ANYTIME. Originally scheduled for last week (April 15th), it was unfortunately cancelled due to rather rainy SoCal weather. Resceduled to this week, the area once again experienced rather dreary weather at its starting point in Temecula. Hoping that the weather would hold up, we ventured off for a 200+ mile drive through San Diego and Riverside Counties.
One thing that I've learned to appreciate about SoCal is its diverse climate zones. In a span of minutes, we would travel through picturesque meadows that took us into fog enshrouded, woodsy mountain highways. Only an hour later, we would drop into desert sunshine, not a cloud in the sky. After that, we headed back into the mountains, peaking at over 6,000 feet, where we stopped for a much desired lunch at a quaint Chinese restaurant. After that, we traversed a few more twisties, just in time to return to urban sprawl.
All in all, I had a great time. Once again, I would like to thank all those involved with today's drive, as well as say "Hi" again to those familiar faces as well as the new faces that I saw today. Thanks for letting me part of a wonderful drive.
