Here are a few pics from my HPDE event at Chuckwalla Raceway today. THis is a fairly new track in SoCal and it is out on the middle of friggin nowehere......and that nowhere is a hot desert. Luckli the temps weren't too bad today and I had a great time.

I ran into another NSX owner which was cool. A very nice gentleman from San Diego and his NSX was a red 91 just like mine.

This was with the Speedventures group.

Great pics. I'm planning a few trackdays (bike) at Chuckwalla in the fall, how did you like the track? The museum pics are cool too; I always say I'm gonna stop there but never seem to find the time.

The track was nice.....they have some good off camber turns and tons of run off with basically nothing to hit. The track was clean too until a ZO6 blew his engine and decided that he should continue to drive off the track and leave a long oil slick the whole way.

It did get hot though. 94 when I left at 2.

There isn't much in the way of facilities.....a large porta potty and a few trailers....no permanent buildings and no food shack but the Speed Ventures guys had a catering company that was doing Tri tip BBQ.

Make sure you have enough gas. The last stop for gas before getting to the track is a long ways away and they only had race gas ($9.40/gal) at the track.
