Naturally, owning an NSX usually means knowing something about Ayrton Senna and being a fan of his. At the Monterey Historics in August I came across an item that I knew that I had to own. It's an original painting by Nicholas Watts of Senna in his final car - the Williams Renault Rothmans livery car.

I have collected several Watts prints as I am a fan of his work but didn't have any originals. What made this piece extra special is the autograph that comes with it. It's a Senna autograph and he dated it himself in 1994 - the same year he lost his life at Imola.

I'm getting it remounted and reframed as the frame and matting it came in was more for protection than display purposes.

Anyone else have some Senna memorbilia they care to share? I found a great website out of Ontario with some amazing things for sale if you are interested.

That is great stuff, and being the last year he was alive, with the Williams Renault, is there a date on the Print?
I have some stuff but nothing like this...excellent find.

Thanks! It's an original painting, not a print, so I don't think there is a date on it. I also don't believe that any prints were made from this original so as far as I know it's one of a kind. I should e-mail him to see if he remembers when he painted it. I wanted to send him a message asking if he could paint two small Senna helmet portraits that I could frame with the image.
