I have a white 1997 nsx and i'm going to put 17 inch front and 18 inch rear volk ce28's on it. Problem is i can't decide between getting them in volks silver (light silver color) or volks titanium gunmetal (darker or gray like silver) Would you do me a huge favor and modify the rims on this nsx picture (not mine) with ce28s in each color so i can see what each looks like? Thanks so much for the help

Well, I wasn't sure if I got the right color silver you wanted, and I couldn't really find a GUNMETAL pic, so I took a darker silver pic and darkened it and found the lightest silver. This was a quick job, so don't be too critical, but it gives a good idea at least.

I like the silver better. Have you considered something polished?....white on polished is SEXY.

As for white rims suggestion....that is totally early 90's :)

yeah, fitting in with current trends it'd have green or red rims, right? :)

F. Trends

I never said anything about red or green rims
Okay, you're right F....trends, I agree. Just saying the last time I saw white wheels on a car frm the factory was in the early 90's. Sure, maybe there are some I might have missed but TO ME, it still looks outdated.

No need for anymosity for an opinion, remember....the thread starter asked for an OPINION so we are all giving opinions correct? Lets not hijack the man's thread and get back on topic. A set of polished iForged Aeros would look awesome on that car. Any Volks with a fat, polished dish would also look nice

lol I'm not angry at all :) It just seems like current trends are going towards more and more flashy things...green and red rims are very popular in the "tuning world" right now, along with a few other weird colors and designs. I like the classic look it gives...may be out-dated, but I think it still looks good! I PERSONALLY like dark rims on light cars and light rims on dark cars. I believe a good contrast is very healthy :)

Agreed, it all just depends on the look you're going for. The colored wheels are good if you're going for that touring car, race look. For me and for many pricey, fine sports car, I like the nicer wheels on them (HRE's, iForged, Kinesis, CCW etc..). NSX's, Vipers, Supras, Vettes, Porsches etc.. all look GREAT with these wheels. Some people go for the more colorful approach and prefer the race car look, colored wheels, black wheels, etc... It's all personal preference :) That's the joy of personalizing cars, you make them "individual" and give them a personality.

I thought white makes the car looks sporty (only apply to Honda...I might be wrong)

I'm also looking to paint my OEM 99 wheels white.

To AutoEuphoria,

Thanks so much for the photoshop.. i really appreciate it.

To the others. on the white wheel debate... I actually have white tecnomagnesio's on the car right now...and i also put a set of silver tecnomagnesios on the car from time to time. I love the look of the white car, but so far have not found the wheel style / color that i'm satisfied with. to make matters worse (as far as wheel fitment choices) i have brembos on the car front and rear.. so the big lip rear wheel fitments are a no - go.. anyway my priority for the car is high power and light weight... and thus the reason for the volk ce28's (hi-pad) version to clear the brakes)

One more thing i did not mention is the car has a nsx-r (procar) wing so perhaps the gunmetal will better fit in. I am concerned that the gunmetal wheels might be too dark... i guess i'll have to try them out and see.

thanks again

tom

Ok, it still looks early 90's in my opinion. Just because Honda does it, and because it's on the NSX-R, doesn't mean it's the current trend.

That's ok. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and opinions are subjective.

I personally used to think white w/ white rims sucked. Then MotherGoose converted me. They look even more fantastic in real life... as illustrated here:
