Hey guys... Need to get my NSX towed to Basch's place tomorrow... any recommendations?

It looks like my CTSC is leaking either fuel or oil, but I can't track down the source. :frown: Either way, I'm sure it's not safe to drive.

I had my NSX towed to Basch's using a company he recommended. They were very careful and made sure that nothing scraped the ground by using and articulated truck. However, it was very expensive - over $200 from Fountain Hills.

Do you still have the contact information, remember the name or anything?

Did you go with them to the garage?

I don't want to wind up with one of those horror stories where they wench the car tight and bend the tie-rod and such. :(

The funny thing is I'm only a few blocks from Mark's house.

You're in luck - I found the receipt. They are Tow Boyz DBA Daryl's Towing 480 644-8181 and Sun Valley Auto Transport 480 835-6707. Turns out it cost me $175 plus tip. Make sure they send an articulated truck. I didn't go with them to the shop as I was comfortable with how well they took care of loading it and that Mark was on the other end. He knows how I am sort of "anal" about my baby.

Maybe my car will keep yours company as I need to have Mark look at an issue I am having. For some reason ever since he installed the CTSC I have a progressively worsening problem with it not wanting to idle when hot. Ever happened to yours?

Thanks so much! I have it set up for them to pick her up tomorrow morning at 07:30

Haven't had any problems with idling... it's been rock solid for the 2+ years I've owned it. Just this past week, I got a check engine light after refueling, so I re-seated the gas cap, hoping that was it. When I got home yesterday, there was a little bit of white smoke coming from the hatch and it looked like I had some fluid leaking from the CTSC onto the carbon fiber heat-shield thing near the manifold. I thought it was oil at first, but it kind of smelled like petrol... Either way, I'm scared to drive it. :(

Well, they came and picked her up this morning. They took great care in getting it on the flatbed without scraping the front lip at all. Great job.

Left voicemail with Mark hoping it got there okay. :)

Hey
It's a reunion my "BABY" is at Basch too. I've been noticing a burning oil smell.

Hopefully I'm first in line. :D

You didn't happen to see mine there, did you? I still haven't heard from Mark, so I'm still hoping everything's okay.

Edit: Well, I've tried calling several times today and even left voicemail on Mark's cell. Has anyone heard from or seen Mark today? :(

I was in line before you. They had my car since Tuesday morning. Mark was by himself today it seems because I tried to call him too and no answer so I dropped by the shop around 10:00am Wed. When I returned around 2:30pm he was out test driving another NSX. He was finished with my car about 12 pm or so. John yours was waiting outside. Hopefully I am drip free now:smile:

Where is Basch's shop located ?

Mark leases a bay from the guys at Arizona Power and Sound.
The address is 1721 W Tenth Place Tempe Az 85281. Phone is
480 968-8010.
The shop is on Tenth place a couple of blocks south of University and between Priest and 52nd st. It is closer to 52nd st.

Update: Good news and bad news...

Good news is Mark fixed my car that night and drove it back up to north Phoenix for me. Turns out there was a pin-hole leak in one of the fuel lines for the supercharger, so it's good that I didn't try to drive it down there. :)

Bad news is that when he called Comptech to get a new hose, it appears they've closed up shop... as in they've gone out of business. :( He didn't have a problem fabricating a new hose, but it's just sort of a sad "end of an era" with Comptech gone.

Yes, Comptech is gone. We just have to hope we don't need parts any time soon. Hopefully my issue is not CT related.

I'm scheduled to be in next Wednesday. Bob was in this morning so I had a chance to make an appointment.
