Hey fellow Phoenicians, I've been in the valley a long time but do not know of any good scenic drives (<50 miles) around here, particularly in the east valley. Maybe this would benefit the newbies too, and I've been itching to do a weekend drive & picnic with other NSXs a la the California group.

What do y'all think? Someone told me about a scenic drive east of Shea, anyone know what it is? What about Roosevelt Lake, is it close enough? There's always Lake Pleasant near me, but it might be a tad far for you 480 people.

If we can't get anything going here I might be forced to drive to LA to join the CA guys!

There are several scenic drives in the area. In the east valley you can take Idaho Rd (88) out to Canyon Lake, Beeline up to and through Payson, Strawberry etc. There's Yarnell Hill to Prescott, Sedona and Oak Creek canyon. These are a little far away but often worth the trip.
