FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Are the radar jammers you sell undetectable?
* Yes, they are undetectable. Radar guns will come up blank when trying to gauge your speed. If you have ever used a radar detector you will know this happens a lot with them. They will keep trying to take a reading. This will give you plenty of time to adjust your speed.
2. Can your speed be taken from the side?
* No, a radar reading can not be taken from the side of the vehicle.
3. Do radar jammers cover 360 degrees around you?
* No, they will only cover a 180 degrees in one direction. 95% of the time radar will be taken from the front of the vehicle so you will not need anymore then that. The Black Widow jammer does cover both the front and back.
4. Does a radar jammer let you know that you are getting hit?
* The Phantom II is a jammer and a detector so it will let you know if you are getting hit with radar. The Phazer II and the Black Widow are jammers and will not alert you to radar. It is always best to use a radar detector along with a jammer this combo will give you the most time to adjust your speed accordingly.
5. Where should jammers go in my car?
* You will want to put the Phazer II and the Phantom II in the center of your windshield near the bottom. Both units come with a windshield mount.
6. Now that I have a jammer can I go speeding around all over?
* Absolutely not, if you are breaking the law by speeding you will get a ticket. Police have a trained eye to roughly judge your speed and will nail you if you are obviously speeding down the road. A radar jammer and detector are designed to give you more then enough time to adjust your speed when you come within radar.
7. What is "punch-thru"?
* As you get closer to the radar detector the signal gets stronger and your vehicle has more area for the gun to bounce off of. So as you get closer to the gun it?s easier for a signal to get past the jammer. Again this is why a radar jammer and detector are designed to give you more then enough time to adjust your speed when you come within radar.
8. Are the radar jammers legal in all states?
* The radar jammers are legal in all 50 states except for California, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Virginia and Washington DC. The radar jammers are also legal in Canada and many foreign countries where detectors are allowed. Radar Jammers are not legal in commercial vehicles in most states. Use caution in these states when using a radar jammer.
9. Can I test the radar jammer on roadside trailer radars?
* The trailers you see on the side of the road that show your speed are not legal to write tickets with. They do not contain the sophisticated sampling computers that are in police radar guns. Since our units confuse the computer and there is none, they will not work reliably against trailers.
10. How are radar jammers legal?
* There are no laws limiting the transmission of light! The Phazer, Black widow, and Phantom II radar jammers all comply with all federal regulations. Part 15 of the FCC code regulates consumer products which may transmit or leak radio frequency energy into the atmosphere. Since the radar jammers are not a transmitters, we can disregard the sections on transmitters.
