When you install an aftermarket shift knob in your NSX the OEM leather boot no longer stays flush against the new knob, exposing the shifter stalk.

We machined a batch of clips from solid aluminum, anodized black, that slide over the top of your shifter stalk and clip into the OEM leather boot, in order to keep it tight against your shift knob:

Can also be used with NSX-R shift boots, and 2004-2005 leather boots, by sliding it under the boot:

Shipping to Norway?

This is a beautiful product, and exactly what I needed! Got mine yesterday... Thanks Scorp!!

I'd like to try placing one of these under an NA2-R Mesh Boot, or a OEM 2004-2005 boot, to see if it serves the same function.

It should act perfectly in this case, but I don't have a reason to tear my center console apart for a couple of weeks.

I am wondering if this would work on an NSX-R boot with a spherical knob???

Pics are encouraged!

Just installed one of these under a 2004-2005 leather boot, which is similar to the NSX-R boot (no trim ring):

No zip tie, just our Aluminum Retainer Clip installed under the boot.

Are these still available for order? If so, How?

NVM, missed the pay button!

Thats a great idea! If I didn't have the SOS knob with the clips built in I would be all over this.

Perhaps I am missing something with the first picture as offered by the OP. If the shift knob sits that high after it being screwed down, the clip will not help unless. If the shift knob was not screwed all the way down then that is a different story - needs to be disclosed.

Hrant, I believe that the first picture shows what it looks like without the clip. The knob itself appears to be screwed down, but the boot is sagging. I've actually seen this clip in action and it does the trick.

Edit: Upon closer inspection of the picture it does look like the knob isn't screwed down all the way. Still, the clip does indeed hold the boot up against the shift knob where it would otherwise be sagging.

I received one of the first of these clips and I'll say man these things work great! My only commentary on it is that my shift knob sat really low on the stalk and would have had to sit higher than I prefer to use the ring as it came from Scorp.

I measured the stalk where the boot needed to sit for me to be happy, I massaged the hole in the clip and PRESTO! Perfect fit. Thanks Scorp

This product is awesome...for clarification, you cannot fit this under the mesh boot. I cut the zip tie and tried to get the shift knob to fit, but it wouldn't. I had to push the lower part (that looks like it clips) through the mesh and zip tied it around the lower part. Then I screwed the shift knob on and it sits on top of the retainer, but you can't see the retainer.
