I live in the KC area and am looking for a performance/race driving school. As long as it is in the lower 48 it will be acceptable. The school must have a good reputation with experienced instructors.

TIA for your recommendations.

could try this. I know many people who have been there and say its pricey but worth it. I guess you don't have anything like driver's edge or speedventures in kansas.

I have done Skip Barber one day school at Road America a few years ago, drove Neons and got a little seat time in a Viper. Right now I am looking at going to the Mid-Ohio school they run Acura RSX type S and you can also use your own car if you like. I am thinking of going the end of this month.

Your first decision is (or, should be) whether you are looking for a lower-priced school in which you drive your own car, or a higher-priced school in which they supply the car. The big-time professional schools, like Skip Barber and Bob Bondurant, supply the cars, and are well regarded, and priced to match.

If you are looking for schools where you drive your own car, BMW CCA does lots of schools at tracks all over the country, and does not require that you own or drive a BMW.

Some of the schools mentioned above (CGI, Mid-Ohio) only do schools at a specific track.

The school at NSXPO 2003 will have over 100 NSXs on the track...
