Hello All,
I wanted to let all of you know what is going on regarding our next event.
I have confirmed our first two day, weekend event in mid-September at the
Spring Mountain Motorsports Park in Pahrump, Nevada:
Saturday, September 15th and Sunday, September 16th.
We will have everything that is expected of a Road One event:
Hours and hours of virtually traffic free track time, excellent one on one instruction, a low student count
and an emphasis on safety and service.
Last week, I drove the route, toured the track, and inspected the hotel. All I can say is it will
be an amazing weekend! The track is very technical --your car will be in a constant state of transition on this
course. The only way achieve speed will be through smoothness and balance.
The two days of experience you'll gain learning Pahrump will pay dividends on any track you drive. It
was designed and built by its owner, veteran driver Rupert Bragg-Smith, as a teaching track.
You can download an in-car video view of the course at: http://www.bombaydigital.com/pages/boxster/tracks/springmountain/SpringMountain.mov
Once again this is an all inclusive Premier event, covering both track days, two nights hotel stay plus
gourmet meals and refreshments at the track.
Your travel time to Pahrump is well worth it, too. (I left Costa Mesa at 1:30 and pulled into the track at 5:30.) Once you leave Interstate 15
at the Baker exit ("Bun Boy"), the last 120 miles is spectacular.
Highway 127 is a smooth, entertainingly-twisty and all-but-empty 2 lane road with scenery that proves getting there is indeed half the fun.
Pahrump is a small town with a friendly attitude and low-key casinos. And it's just 45 minutes to the Vegas Strip.
But the real entertainment, as always, is on the track.
Please let me know asap if you would like to attend this inaugural Road One event at Spring Mountain Motorsports Park.
