<font color="#FF0000" size="6">Speedvision GT Series - Texas GP 3/4/01</font></p>
<font size="4">The re-debut of Peter "pd" Cunningham's Realtime
Racing NSX!!. </font></p>
He qualified on pole, and finished up in second, passed only by Michael
Galati in a really sneaky move going into turn 3!
It was a great race
to watch, and what was almost as cool was checking out the car itself. pd's car
is a 1989 Acura NSX. Yes, that's right, a 1989 model. A prototype actually.
Serial # 00003! I know that #00001 is in Tochigi on display. I wonder who
owns # 00002? </p>
<img border="0" src="http://www.1017.org/nsx/ALMS01/ALMS011.jpg" width="663" height="251"></p>
</p>
Check out the motor! This is a prototype Realtime supercharger kit, using a
Vortec blower. The head mechanic told me that it's putting out about 380 RWHP on
"8+" PSI of boost. It's a 3.2l with a stock bottom end.</p>
<img border="0" src="http://www.1017.org/nsx/ALMS01/ALMS012.jpg" width="750" height="1120"></p>
</p>
</p>
Look at the back of this thing! It's got a single exhaust pipe and a
transmission cooler inset in the rear bumper with an electric fan!!!</p>
Notice the gap between the trunk and taillights. This provides extra engine
ventilation, as the bulkhead between the engine compartment and trunk is almost
all cut out! (the car weighs 2,650 Lbs with the driver!)</p>
<img border="0" src="http://www.1017.org/nsx/ALMS01/ALMS013.jpg" width="767" height="442"></p>
Those are 295-18's in the back! Running 245-17's in the front. (if you
look carefully, you will notice that the rear suspension is not stock!)</p>
</p>
Here is an interior shot! Notice the STOCK shifter and shift pattern
legend!
</p>
<img border="0" src="http://www.1017.org/nsx/ALMS01/ALMS014.jpg" width="717" height="480"></p>

</p>
Congratulations to pd & his crew on a job well done!!!</p>
