Wow, what an awesome way to bow out and enjoy your latter moments. I've always had a healthy dose of admiration, respect, and awe of the guy. One of my first encounters with racing was watching him, on TV, race LeMans - IIRC, he came in 2nd.

I hope and pray he gets to do everything he most loves doing before he passes.

Yeah, being a club racer to the end speaks volumes to us unwashed masses racing for the love of it, bragging rights and maybe a $5 plastic trophy. Can't get much more genuine than that.
