Passenger side air inlet

Does the passenger side air inlet serve any performance function at all ? I know on the Porsche Boxster the intake is on the driver's side as in the NSX, and the passenger side inlet is set up to dissipate engine heat out of the engine compartment. Is this the same in the NSX ?

There is a fan located at the end of the passanger side inlet in the engine compartment. The fan and inlet help draw cool air into the engine bay. I'm not sure how well it works, but that is what it is for.

ANY purpose at all? Sure - it looks great and matches the functional inlet on the other side! :--)

This fan was deleted sometime after 95. So, maybe this didn't work that well if it went away.

With respect to that fan, mine (on a stock 91 NSX) is not working. I suspect the fuse.... would an Acura dealer, or better yet a Pep Boys, have this fuse for a replacement?

I will have to look up the part number in the service manual, just seeing if anyone had experience with this. Thanks,

Based on the information in this topic, your fan is probably working just fine.
