Parts to replace phone buttons

My car had the factory phone which I have since removed. I would like to remove the phone buttons from the center console.

I did a search on "remove phone button" but came up with nothing.

Question:

What do the rest of you who didn't have the factory phone have in that spot?

Are there replacement parts for this?

Are there replacement parts for the center console if I wanted the cup holders?

Thanks!

The buttons for the phone are (I believe) in the area which is otherwise occupied by a felt-lined "coin tray". It doesn't have specific shapes to hold coins but I think that's what most people call it, and some of us actually use it for that.

You can see it in this photo, directly behind the shift pattern and shift knob:

The factory cup holder is built into the arm rest that is directly behind the coin tray. It requires replacing the entire arm rest and compartment underneath. And it's rather poorly designed, since it's too far back to be usable.

The Dali Racing cupholder that fits over the parking brake works very well, though.

No prob, Nick.

BTW, I'm looking at the center console portion of the 1991-98 Repair Parts Catalog that's in the FAQ. It appears to my non-technical eye that the only part you might need is the "coin" tray itself, which appears to be marked as item number 24, "Panel, Tray", part number 77298-SL0-A00ZA, $31.85.

Oh, thats great. Nick gets to work on his car again and we get an entertaining story!
Go get'em Nick!!!

The problem with me is that the more I learn from people on this board,
the more experience I get, and the more tools I buy, the better I seem to get.

More entertaining for me & wife = less entertaining for you all

;-(

I am rushing home to try to do the SoS HID kit so we will see how that goes.
Although not in the instructions implicitly - I will have a friend stand behind
me with a 2x4 just in case I become intimate with the 30,000 Volt collector!

Just have to remind the friend when to start hitting me with the 2x4 and when
to STOP. We will have a few trial runs to make sure he has it down!
