Has anyone painted there 91-94 black roof to match the rest of there car? If so, how'd it turn out? Any regrets? Is there anything else you can tell me about the procedure before I go ahead with it? Thanks in advance.

I've had the roofs painted on the two NSXs that I've owned. On one, I had the door handles and moldings painted as well. It is simple to do, and should come out just like a factory paint job. From what I understand, the roof top and pillars are just very big pieces of moldings, and the job can be done without removing the rear hatch.

When you painted your X, did you have to take it to a place that knew how to paint aluminum? Or is that detail irrelevant?

Be different and totally invert the color scheme. On a red body black roof car, paint the roof red and the body black. You will have people scratching their heads all day.

Now that I think about it, that wouldn't look half bad.

I took it to the best Mercedes dealer in the area, which also owns the Acura dealership next door, where I bought my first car. It cost me $1,800.00, which is alot more than I think it should cost. If I didn't live in NYC, I think I'd do a wild paint job, see my 420 NSX in the Humor Gallery.
