I need to paint my Stillen's front lip for an '04 Maxima. Instead of paying the shop $110 (painted and installed), I want to tackle this task myself. My friend can lend me the equipments needed spray the paint.

So far, I'll be getting the factory paint (still haven't figured out where to get it from), sand paper (smooth out the lip sincce it was used before), and the equipments.

Am I missing anything? I would like to hear your suggestions on how to conduct this prep & installation without going through hardtimes.

Or...

Should I just pay the shop $110 to do the job for me? I'm sure it'll be worth it to spend the extra cash to make it look nice.

BTW, this is exactly how my max will look like, except for the "STILLEN" windshield decal.

pay da mannn!

Pay the $110, that seems rather reasonable...

Removing lip, wet-sanding, surface-prep/primer, 1-2 coats paint, clear-coat, polish/buff, reinstalling lip... unless you already are set-up w/ the paraphanelia, it's just not worth it for one relatively small part (ie. lip). Also w/ getting it done 'professionally' you'll have a warranty/gurantee.
