I am looking for some advice on damage control for cracking paint.
I recently purchased my car, it has the 02 Conversion, and was painted very recently as well. Initially I was planning on clearbra'ng the car but I drove it around instead (too excited..) and ended up damaging it :frown:
The aftermrket lip is scuffed up pretty bad, the bumper has rock chips and the bumper has a paint peel at the bottom. The first 2 I don't car much about (I can throw away the lip and the rock chips can only be seen under intense light) but the last is a real bummer. It seems that the paint has started to peel due to some impact with the ground, the lip and thus the energy gets transfered up.... The bigger problem is that you can easily peel it off, and it will continue to peel off. The picture provided is actually a few weeks old b/c the current damage is 2-4x as big...

Anyway, what I can do as far as damage control? I know I will have to paint it, but I'd like to 'stop the bleeding' untill then.

The option I'm thinking is the get the Honda bra. However, aesthetically, given that the rest of the pain job/car looks nice, it's not so great.

Secondly, I am/will be shopping around for places to get the car sprayed. I think I can dissasemble and do the prep work so I can just get it sprayed and if anyone has any recommendations for shops/individuals who have experience with 3-stage yellow paint in the NW area - that is willing to be very competitive on costs, that is great. It doesn't have to be a formal shop, as long as the person/shop is good..
