Hi all, it's been a long day yesterday, and god knows why I decided to fill up the oil (to highest level)...but with 5W30  it's not much maybe only 1/3 of the dipstick (lo to hi dots) I had 10W30 in the car, but i just grabbed a wrong one and put it in...

Should I lose sleep about it?? (yeah, that's why I wake up this early to post this... )

polar had a chance to sit in my car at last track day. I had the Tein RA installed and tracking with Toyo RA1... He suggested that as I driving faster, I might really need a dry sump...??? Guess the tremendous grip and G-force scared him and he thinks if I gave him dizzy head in the corners (his blood supply because of the G force  ) I might have problem with keeping the oil supply in the corners... Any input??

Yeah, both questions are kind of oxymoron... but I just can't afford a new engine, you know...

No need to loose sleep for both issues - you may even go with 0W30 - what counts for high temps is the 2nd number.

I drive with Yoko race slicks (more grip than Toyo I guess) for about 7 years and had never an oil starving problem with the stock system.

If I understand what you're saying, your car already had 10W30 in it, and you were just "topping off" the oil (in other words, adding less than a quart) and you used 5W30. If so, then don't worry about it at all. No big deal.

And you don't need a dry sump unless you're driving around on high-banked ovals.
