I checked it before I started it. Car was completely cold. However, would it lower a quarter of an inch after it was started?

Is the safe level supposed to be between the two dots?

If not, where is the ideal oil line supposed to reside?

I am really paranoid about the oil level. The faq is SCARING ME!

I really appreciate all of the help you guys have given me.
